Throwback Thursday: How to Wear 60s Styles, Today

The 1960s is by far my favorite decade in fashion. The decade perfectly captures sexy and classy into one look with the creation of the mini-skirt. British designer Mary Quant technically created the mini skirt (ironically named after the mini cooper car) however many believe French designer André Courrèges made the mini famous with his “mod “look. Big, open collars with huge buttons on jackets were popular (think Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany’s) of the time as well as the notion of “exoticism “and embellishments in evening dresses. Channeling the 1960s is always timeless.
